Now that house projects that I can do are winding down (just upkeep and cleaning to do) I've been able to catch up a bit in the Studio. Caught up on birthday & get well cards, put together a book making class for the mixed media group I belong to, and today I completed my page for Tim Holtz's 12 Tags Challenge. Woohoo! Feels good to get creative again.
Other than the Ideology, manila cardstock, tissue tape and inks & stains I had to improvise because I don't have the stamps, mini stencil or mini tattered floral dies that he used.
For the flowers I used the decorative strip die of tattered flowers. I had already cut them out and had them in my die cuts stash. I just inked them up and assembled them with brad centers. I also don't have his laces - I have quite an antique lace & trim collection so I just culled from those. Instead of the spoon charm I used a bird charm and stitched it on with some 2-cord waxed linen thread. Once I got the flowers all done (that seemed to take all day!) the rest of the page came together pretty quickly.
