I am taking the Online Card Classes class called Summer Stamp Camp II; 2013. Love these classes as they make me stretch my creative muscles. I haven't been able to do my 'homework' daily as work, family and car shopping have taken up most of my time. By the time I get home I'm just to pooped out. I finally got to work on a few cards today. Started this morning with cuppa coffee in hand, intending to just make one then run a few errands. Yeah - right - we know how that goes don't we? Before I knew it it was 3PM!! Oh well the errands can wait for another day and I got 3 cards done.
This card turned out to be a favorite. The acetate window is embossed - though it is difficult to see. The bird stamps are Red Lead Paperworks, sentiment is Fiskars and the branch die cuts & papers are Memory Box. Love these bird stamps which have matching wings so you can make the birds more dimensional if desired - which I did desire - VBG.
This card gave me fits. Funny, all my nesting circle dies are the same sizes - Grrr! I ended up going low tech to get the size circles that I needed, using the Circle cutter from Martha Stewart. I was going to get rid of it - I guess I'll hold onto it! All the stamps are Red Lead Paperworks except the label & sentiment which is from Tim Holtz & Stampers Anonymous. Papers are Memory Box.
This card really did work up pretty fast even though I inked all my edges. I have a thing about finishing my edges with a bit of ink. I despise those white edges so I ink them. I just think it looks more complete. One thing I noticed in class is that few of the instructors ink their edges. My go-to inks are Distress Inks & markers for coloring and Archival Inks for stamping.
