Dinners At The Farm 2011
- For my birthday this year we traveled to Madison CT's Barberry Hill Farm to attend 'Dinners At The Farm' an annual summer event started by Jonathan Rapp of River Tavern in Chester CT. For two weekends in July and two weekends in August he picks two host farms to host this fabulous charity event to benefit City Seed plus two other land/farm related charities. All the food we ate was locally sourced and absolutely spectacular!

Final Results Of Fundraiser
We sold a total of 32 calendars! Woohoo!
I can't believe I bound a total of 44 calendars (each artist got 1 copy)!
That's a total of $480 donated to the American Heart Association/Go Red For Women.
Thank you SOOOO much to everyone who created art, spread the word and/or purchesed a calendar (or calendars!). I could not have completed this project without your support.

Go Red Giveaway
Several of us that created art for the calendar were trying to figure out what to do with our original art pieces and Sanna (Mizz August) came up with a brilliant idea to have a giveaway to help sell the calendars.
To qualify for the giveaway all you have to do is purchase a calendar or two. Then leave a comment on this post. That's it!
Actually, I am going to 'up the anti' and say that for every calendar you buy your name will go into a drawing to win. So, if you buy 5 calendars, you'll get 5 chances to win. Woohoo!
This giveaway will continue until Dec 31, 2010. The winning names for my piece (January) and Lyn Wareham's piece (March) featured here will be announced here on January 1, 2011. What a way to start the new year!

Go Red Calendar
The calendar is up for sale on Etsy. Woohoo! This has been quite a project in the making - since January!
I tried to find a printing company to give me a deal on printing and binding but had no luck. I wanted as much of the price of the calendar to go to Go Red For Women, yet keep the price reasonable, so I ended up printing and binding all the calendars myself. Oey! I hope I can keep up with the sales!
