I just got my first blogger award! Thanks Angie for nominating me! Now the rules are I have to reveal 8 facts about myself and tag 8 other FABULOUSLY stylish bloggers.
Here goes:
I am a Certified Master Gardener. I went through UConn's certification program 10 years ago. I just love getting my hands dirty! If you want to know how to get the BEST lawn of your life email me and I can tell you how.
I am a history nut. Especially Early American and Ancient History.
I had an offer from a college professor to take a semester off and work on a textile restoration project in Virginia but I turned it down because I was already a semester late graduating due to a school transfer. That, I regret - one of the very few regrets in my life. If you get an opportunity of a lifetime - TAKE IT!
I went to college for Theatrical Costume Design. I was also a Master Electrician for the theater dept for my last semester at school. Prof said I had a talent for it - who knew! I thought he was nuts but I did it anyway to get over my fear of heights - it worked to a degree. I still don't do 50' ladders very well. Getting up is easy. Getting down - that's another story!
A physic told me once I was an Old Soul - which is a beautiful thing. Maybe that explains the history thing and the love of old stuff! LOL
I believe in ghosts and spirits. Had a couple of unexplained events in my life that make one wonder.
I have collected antique buttons & lace since I was 9 years old. I visited Naples ME every summer with my family growing up. There was this great antique store in a barn right next to the ice cream shop in town. I always headed to the antique store. They would dump this HUGE old pickle jar of buttons on the floor. I was in HEAVEN! Entertained myself for hours on end. And whatever buttons I picked out they just let me take them for free. That started everything!
I hate talking on the phone. Even as a teenager! How lucky were my parents?
