Oh boy! Two posts in one day! I spent my day off getting my art on, playing in my art studio instead of cleaning or doing other household tasks. A fun, relaxing day!
Well, I went way off the reservation for this month's Tim Holtz Tag Challenge! I either didn't have or couldn't find locally two major ingredients for this month; the Woodgrain cardstock and the Mosiac Kit. I also don't have the bird die but I had other choices and I went with the Crescent Moon & Stars die. It was a bit wonky to mosaic so I just had fun with it. And instead of using a mirror star I just covered a few of the die cut stars with gold glass glitter and used those. A couple years back Tim came out with a white and kraft cardstock paper stash that was resist printed so in keeping with the moon & stars theme I used the stars background spritzing Distress Stains in Tumbled Glass, Stormy Skies and Iced Spruce. Once dry I spattered some Wink of Stella Gold over it instead of black paint. Another thing I don't have are the Number charms so I made my own with a Memory Box die that is numbered baubles used for an Advent Calendar. Because I am making book pages instead of tags I punched slots along the top of the page to weave ribbon that I dyed to match my project, finishing with a frilly bow. Other than that my page is exactly like Tim's - LOL!
