The past few weeks have been extremely trying (if you follow me on Facebook you know all about it!). Long story short the snow (18"+!) that was piled up on my roof was melting into my house in three places. I had to rip up the carpet in a closet near the front door. And this is all happening as I am trying to get my house ready to sell! With all the stress I completely lost my creative spirit.
Well, I had all the snow removed from the roof and the ice dams are melting with the assistance of tubes of calcium chloride and the sun. We'll see with the first rain if this winter caused any damage to the roof. I can't tell you what a MAJOR relief this is!
I was so afraid I just wouldn't be able to get my Shrine done for the next LAC swap. As they were shoveling snow off my roof my creative mojo returned! YEAH!! The piles of snow around my house are HUGE! Much better on the ground than on my roof!
My shrine has a definite springtime vibe to it. Gee I wonder why!?
The base of the shrine is the Antique Cabinet Card and Sized Rectangle Dies by Tim Holtz. Add some Basic Grey papers, Finnabair stamps, German Dresden borders and other images, diecuts and trims and it's done. Phew! Just in time because now I have to get the next kit done!
Without further adieu here it is:
