Let The Madness Begin!

Tim Holtz has decided to change up his annual 12 Tags of Christmas and do 12 Tags of 2012 instead.  So every month he uploads a new tag featuring new techniques and we have a whole month to make the tag instead of just one day.  Woohoo!   Now I don't feel as rushed and I can work on my tag at my leisure.  And it's not just about Christmas. 

I did work on the tag throughout the month, using snippets of free time here and there.  I couldn't find a red honeycomb pad anywhere so I used Magenta.  I also didn't have the Barn Door Stickles  So I used Magenta Stickles instead.  I also had to add my little spin on the tag. First I added more bling; the amber crystals on the bottom, and I had just bought that lovely, lacey, delicate Memory Box die that is behind Cupid and I wanted to use it.  I also used a foam dot to raise Cupid and swirl up off the tag for more depth.  While my tag is quite similar, it's not an exact copy.

 

Sending A Little Love

The next Lost Art Creations ATC swap theme is Retro Valentines.  Oh, I had so much fun making these!  Got the fingers all good and inky - VBG!  The images are the stars here so I kept it pretty simple, using papers, inks, paints and Red Lead Paperworks stamps to create my backgrounds.  A couple of them are even a little sparkly as I covered the entire card with Rock Candy Stickles Distress Glitter Glue - LOVE that stuff!  Wish it came in a big jar!

Down To The Wire

 

 

It's getting down to the wire.  Bidding closes in about 6-7 hours on ten of my listings on eBay.  LOTS of great stuff - cheap! 

2 different die cutting machines with many extra accessories, eyelet setting and notch tools, blank journals to art up (or use traditionally), paper, Fantasy Film, ink pad, silver plated angel ornaments (really beautiful and different - not cutesy).

Studio Clean Out Time!

I know I've been quiet lately.  In the middle of working on class samples, etc I decided I had had it with having to hunt & dig any time I needed something.  Grrrr - it's such a waste of precious time! 

So far - and I am only about half done - I have sent to the recycle bin about 10 years worth of magazines (yikes!), sold 2 1/2 car loads of books to the local Resale book store (Book Barn, Niantic, CT - it's AWESOME).  Whatever they didn't buy I donated to Goodwill.  More assorted stuff that was in the 'what was I thinking? catagory that was split between the trash and recycle bins - which are already filled again for Friday pickup.

I also found several things that, while I didn't want or need them anymore, I just couldn't bear to toss, so I opened an eBay site to sell (hopefully - fingers crossed!) this stuff.

Card Samples For B-Line Designs

Terri at Beautiful Impressions asked me to make up a few card samples for a new stamp company she is carrying (at my suggestion) so how could I say no?  Th images are fabulous and the rubber stamps beautifully!  The stamps are selling so well we are already working on order #2 - Woohoo!
