Kris from my Altered Divas Group is hosting an Erosion Bundle Project for 2010. She borrowed the idea from Seth, who hosted an EB Project last year. I had read about this project through various art friend's blogs and was intrigued by the idea so when she announced the project I signed right up.
Basically you bundle up a whole bunch of stuff(collage art supplies) and hang it outside for a few months so Mother Nature can work her magic. When I unwrap my bundle in April/May I hope to have many distressed, patinated, world weary and eroded pieces to create a piece of art with. I have included lots of copper and brass bits, fabrics, ribbons, old laces, a cabinet photo, an old craft booklet, bingo cards, old ephemera, clip-art and old foreign text pages in my bundle. I wrapped it with ribbon and wire and hung it off of my deck where it is open to the elements. It is currently snowing and is supposed to continue snowing right through Monday. I hope to post pics and updates as the months progress.
