Hubby has been gone on business the past week so I took advantage and got as much done as possible. I completed and packaged 19 books. PHEW! First show is less than 2 weeks away and I finally feel ready.
I decided to try a new style of book. They are scrapbooks with the traditional clear sleeves to tuck your scrapbook pages into. Making book blocks out of paper is very time consuming so these sleeves save time and money which I can pass on to the customer with a less expensive - but still beautiful - book.
The pic below is a sampling of what I have completed.
I also got a bread starter from a lovely woman at work (I work with a great group of women - lucky me!). It is for Amish Friendship Bread, a cinnamon quick bread. I followed the directions for 10ish days and finally made the bread + 4 starters to pass along today. The batch makes 2 good size loaves and boy is it YUMMY! I'll freeze one for later.
I also picked up a bunch of mini cukes at the store yesterday to make Betty's Pickles. These are the BEST no cook/no can bread & butter pickles EVER! And they freeze very well. Betty is another generous woman I worked with last year and every time I make them I think of her. Thanks so much for this recipe Betty!
Now to work on the next In The Studio RR book. Only one more book after this and then my book will come home. A bit bittersweet as I can't wait to get my book back but I enjoyed this round robin very much. Every artist is SOOO talented and I feel privileged to be a part if it!
